Combine the butter with the garlic and herbs. Mix well. Regrigerate to firm slightly. Place on waxed paper and form into a 1 inch roll. Roll up in the waxed paper and chill well before cutting into 1/4 inch pats.
The color of the fresh basil looks best. Serve on hot steak.
Makes 12 pats of flavored butter, 1/4 inch thick.
